ECS specialises in providing high quality cable installation, joints and terminations to the mining, oil, gas and energy supply authorities. With 40+ years experience we are familiar with the various HV cables and their applications as well the techniques and processes to join and terminate them, We are proud to have a 100% incident and injury free record and undertake regular training and skills upgrades to maintain that.
Our team has sound knowledge and experience with many types of cables, switchgear, transformers, joints and terminations on XLPE, PILC, EPR and submarine cables in voltages ranging from low voltage to 66KV.
Based in Townsville, North Qld we are available anywhere and been involved in projects across Australia, N.Z., PNG, Philippines and Solomon Islands with companies such as Rio, BHP, Glencore and Newcrest Mining.
From 1999 to 2004 our principal jointer (Neil Halliwell) was employed as a contractor to Ergon Energy as a Trainer, one of his responsibilities was to train the Cert III ESI Power Systems apprentices in the HV and LV cable modules. He has undertaken various other training assignments in Australia and overseas.
